I put the Bluetooth Logo on here just to see if I could. I attempted to put the logo in a comment I left on Ken’s site. It didn’t work. Perhaps pictures aren’t allowed in comments. Perhaps I just didn’t do it right. It took me about 6 tries to get it on here.
The Tech Writing class has been very challenging. I’m going to start working on it again as soon as I get this post in.
I found a book last night that looks promising, “The Pathfinder: How to Choose or Change Your Career for a Lifetime of Satisfaction and Success” by Nicholas Lore. List price is only $16.00. Anazon has it for about $11.00.
I’m pretty sure they don’t allow images in comments to keep bad stuff from getting on your site. Some people out there have no sense of boundaries. You should see some of the spam comments that get put on my site. I think there are spam bots that go around and look for the Wordpress api and put their messages in there. It’s a good thing Wordpress has a plugin called Akismet. It pretty much kills all spam comments. Since you set up Wordpress yourself, you should go look to see if you set that up. I’ll email you my API key.
I’ve been meaning to ask you what zBlackX is supposed to stand for. Where did that come from?
When I was in college, some of my fellow students, who were African American, used to pick black, when playing a board game for example, while saying “black is beautiful.” Now I’m 100% German ancestry so that doesn’t really fit me but I’ve been selecting black whenever I had a chance since then. The X I added one day when I was making a handle to use someplace, just because it seemed to go together (and X by itself is a little short). The z got added one day when I again tried to sign up for something (Virginia says it was Neopets), I did something wrong and couldn’t get into it after the sign-up process, but they thought BlackX was already taken, so I needed a new handle. z, an obscure letter like X seemed to go with it. BTW my preferred capitalization is zBlackX.
My awendtlandt handle came about much the same way. When I attempted to set up my first free email account through Yahoo, I could not get into after the sign-up process, and they also thought awendland was taken, so I added some t’s and here we are.
